Why it’s considered a crutch alternative:
Natural Gait: The i WALK design lets you walk with a near-normal gait by recruiting upper-leg and core muscles, rather than relying on your arms (as with standard crutches). ([Access Mobility][3])
Hands Free: You can keep both hands free. That’s a big advantage for everyday tasks: carrying groceries, holding onto railings, using a cane for extra stability, carrying items, or navigating stairs more easily. ([Healthcare Home Medical Supply USA][4])
Reduced Complications: Using standard crutches for long periods can lead to overuse injuries in shoulders, wrists, or underarms (even things like nerve compression or “crutch palsy”). The i WALK avoids those issues by shifting weight to the leg.
Better than Knee Scooters for Normal Tasks: Compared with knee scooters, iWALK 3.0 allows more natural walking motion, better balance, and frees up hands — useful if you need to go up stairs or do things like carry items or do chores.
Things to know — limitations and who it works for:
* The i WALK 3.0 is designed only for below-knee injuries. If your injury involves the knee joint or is higher up (thigh, hip), it’s not appropriate.
* It requires good balance, coordination, and some leg strength. People with limited mobility, poor balance, or certain health conditions may struggle, especially at first.
* Some users report discomfort or chafing around the knee/shin area, or thigh discomfort if straps aren’t properly adjusted. The padding can feel thin during long-term use.
* Because the injured leg isn’t bearing weight, it still needs protection: iWALK isn’t a walker or wheelchair replacement, and you still must follow your doctor’s guidance on weight bearing and healing.
Who is iWALK 3.0 best for?
* People with foot, ankle, or lower-leg injuries requiring a non–weight-bearing period.
- Individuals who want to maintain mobility and independence at home or outdoors — being able to carry objects, use stairs, or do daily tasks.
* Those who wish to avoid the pain and upper-body strain of traditional crutches, especially if using them long-term.
The iWalk 3.0 is the only Crutch Alternative that allows independent, convenient, and comfortable hands-free mobility for those with lower-leg injuries. Injuries may include: achilles tendon rupture, sprained/broken ankle, broken foot and other lower leg, non-weight-bearing injuries. See qualifications for use below.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR USE
Before you buy, ask yourself these questions:
(Strict and limited return policy applies. Call 931-241-6262 for details.)
Before your injury,
1) Could you walk unaided?
2) Could you balance on one foot for a full 30 sec.?
3) Could you go up/down stairs without using a handrail?
4) Is your injury to ONE leg only?
5) Is your injury below the knee?
6) Can you bend your injured leg 90 degrees at the knee?
If you answered yes, then you have the necessary physical ability to use the iWALK. If you answered "No" to any, the iWALK3.0 is NOT right for you.
PROPER FITTING is ESSENTIAL! But it's also EASY. Knowing how to fit and use the iWALK3.0 isn't knowledge you were born with. Small adjustments make a BIG difference. So don't go it alone - let us show you how. See our detailed video instructions by clicking the links below.
